The Colorado Safe Personal Care Products Act (3/10)

House Bill 1248 was introduced into the Colorado State Legislature on February 3, 2010. The act would prohibit manufacturers from distributing or selling in Colorado personal care products that contain known and probable carcinogens and reproductive toxins. The bill creates “a private right of action,” whereby any person can file a suit alleging a violation of the law. For more information, click here to go to the Women's Lobby of Colorado website.

NIEHS Director Dr. Linda Birnbaum gives testimony on endocrine disruptors in drinking water (2/10)

On February 25, 2010, Dr. Linda Birnbaum, Director of the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences provided testimony before the US House Subcommittee on Energy and Environment, at a hearing titled "Endocrine Disrupting Chemicals in Drinking Water: Risks to Human Health and the Environment". Environmental Working Group releases a new report: Drilling Around the Law (1/10)

Companies drilling for natural gas and oil are skirting federal law and injecting toxic petroleum distillates into thousands of wells, threatening drinking water supplies from New York to Wyoming. The Endocrine Disruption Prevention Act of 2009 (12/09)

On December 3, 2009, Congressman Jim Moran and Senator John Kerry introduced The Endocrine Disruption Prevention Act of 2009 to authorize an ambitious research program in endocrine disruption at the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS). The Critical Windows of Development is a unique interactive webpage that pairs normal human development in the womb with laboratory research showing where and when low-dose exposure to bisphenol-A, phthalates and dioxin has effects. Dr. Theo Colborn Receives Award (11/08)

TEDX is proud to announce that Theo Colborn was one of four recipients of Sweden's prestigious Göteborg Award in 2008. The award was founded in 1999 by the Swedish city of Göteborg and several interested companies.
